Top Florida target charged with marijuana possession on official Ohio State visit
Four-star 2017 WR James Robinson visited Ohio State last weekend, but left with a misdemeanor marijuana charge on his record.
While taking an official visit to Columbus, the top Florida target was cited for possession of marijuana at an off-campus apartment, according to 247Sports.
Though the offense was minor and Robinson is facing only a $150 fine, it’s still likely to drop him off of Ohio State’s radar ahead of National Signing Day.
Robinson, a Lakeland native, is expected to sign with the Gators on Wednesday, but Clemson and Oklahoma are also in the mix.
According to 247Sports, Robinson, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver, is the No. 14 wide receiver in the class of 2017 and the No. 21 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
