Will Georgia sign another high-profile running back in the 2016 recruiting class?

Four-star running back Elijah Holyfield, son of Evander Holyfield, could be the prospect, and according to Elijah, he’s the No. 1 running back on the Bulldogs’ board, via AJC.com.

“He [UGA RB coach Thomas Brown] told me that I’m the back they want in this class and he would be perfectly happy if he only takes me,” Holyfield said.

“They [UGA coaches] have been pretty adamant about it. They have told me that I am No. 1 many times now.”

The 5-10, 205-pound back is high on four SEC programs. Georgia, along with Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee, have all offered Holyfield scholarships and hopes to obtain his signature on National Signing Day.

Most figure it’s an Auburn-Georgia battle for the Atlanta native, and Holyfield said in his mind he thinks he’s ready to pick a school.

As you can see by his highlights below, Holyfield’s an instinctive runner with great vision and an excellent burst.

Holyfield is the No. 6 overall running back in the 2016 recruiting class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
