When you think of the Georgia Bulldogs, you think of running backs.

Whether its Knowshon Moreno, Todd Gurley or Nick Chubb, UGA has had its fair share of talented backs come through Athens. So it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that the Bulldogs’ ace recruiter is none other than running backs coach Bryan McClendon.

The Chicago native has been with Georgia since 2007 in various capacities. He’s been one of Georgia’s most consistent and talented recruiters during those last eight years.

History with Bulldogs

McClendon is all Georgia through and through. McClendon played wide receiver and graduated from UGA in 2005 and then joined the coaching staff two years later as a graduate assistant.

He took over the duties of running backs coach in 2009 and hasn’t looked back. In addition to be a dynamite recruiter, McClendon has coached several game-changing running backs at Georgia, most notably Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb and Isaiah Crowell.

Because of his efforts and success on the recruiting trail, McClendon was recently named as Georgia’s recruiting coordinator in addition to his running back coach responsibilities.
