Read the headline and then fill in the blank. As long as it’s not “some bum,” Herschel Walker will fight anyone.

Walker, the former Georgia star running back who won a Heisman Trophy before appearing in two Pro Bowls during a stellar 12-year NFL career, wants to get back into MMA fighting, according to TMZ Sports.

If you can recall, he’s already 2-0 with two knockouts — he defeated Greg Nagy in his debut fight back in 2010 and then Scott Carson in 2011. Now, five years later, he’s so anxious to get back in the ring that he’s prepared to take on Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, a former UFC light heavyweight champ who’s now fighting for Bellator.

“Oh I’ll fight anyone. I think if you start dodging people you’re not a fighter. I don’t think you’re supposed to dodge anybody,” Walker told TMZ Sports. “I want it to be a worthy opponent. I don’t want it to be someone they hand pick — some bum that they found on the street that was fighting 15 years ago. I don’t want it to be someone like that. I want it to be someone that will keep the integrity of this sport.”

Even at 54, Walker continues to be a beast.
