Former Georgia WR Malcolm Mitchell is one of dozens of SEC players hoping to hear their name called during this week’s NFL Draft.

But Mitchell’s recent appearance on Steve Harvey’s talk show had very little to do with that venture of his life.

Mitchell instead was there to talk about his alternate passion– writing children’s books.

He is a published author, and was at the show to promote children pursuing their passions by embracing literature as a means of opening their minds to possibilities for their lives.

Mitchell’s book, “The Magician’s Hat”, is available for sale through his website.

In 2015, Mitchell served as an offensive team captain and started all 13 games for the Bulldogs. He had the best season of his career, hauling in 58 passes for 866 yards and five touchdowns.
