Go ahead and give Mark Stoops a pat on the back for the work Kentucky’s doing on the recruiting trail.

Five-star wideout Jermaine Eskridge, the No. 2 player at his position in the 2018 class, became the Wildcats’ ninth verbal commitment this month on Thursday, according to several recruiting services.

Eskridge is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound playmaker out of Tampa, Florida. Four players for 2016 and four from the 2017 class have pledged to Kentucky in July.

Eskridge is easily the biggest get in Stoops’ brief tenure in Lexington. Now, the task for the Wildcats is to make him stick over the next three years.
