The Kentucky Wildcats finished the 2014 season with a 5-7 (2-6 SEC) record. The Wildcats were 5-1 through six games, but failed to secure bowl eligibility after ending their season on a six-game losing streak. Kentucky will lose nine senior starters from its Week 14 loss to Louisville and 14 from its two-deep roster. Here’s a look at the team’s biggest needs in recruiting this offseason.

Tight End

Who’s leaving: Steve Borden, Ronnie Shields

Kentucky saw little production from the tight end position. Steve Borden had four catches for 33 yards. His backup, Ronnie Shields, added 29 yards on three catches. The Wildcats’ top commit is C.J. Conrad, a four-star tight end. Conrad ranks as the No. 264 overall prospect and No. 11 tight end by the 247Sports Composite ratings.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Who’s leaving: LT Darrian Miller, Teven Eatmon-Nared

Kentucky’s offensive line ranked No. 104 in sacks allowed and No. 99 in tackles for loss allowed. The Wildcats offensive line played a crucial role in the team’s lack of success in rushing offense. Kentucky’s final depth chart included one starting senior, Darrian Miller, two juniors, a sophomore and a redshirt freshman. The Wildcats have three offensive line commits, but will rely on their current roster to fill the void in the trenches.

WIDE RECEIVER

Who’s leaving: Demarco Robinson, Javess Blue

Wide receiver was one of Kentucky’s worst position groups in 2015. Ryan Timmons led the Wildcats with 536 yards and two touchdowns on 45 receptions. Javess Blue was second in receiving yards with 525 and five touchdowns on 29 receptions. Blue recorded more than 100 yards in two games (Louisiana-Monroe and Tennessee). The Wildcats have a commitment from three-star wide receiver Jabari Greenwood and are in the hunt for three-star Tavin Richardson.
