Defensive end Jason Strowbridge, one of three Kentucky commits from the state of Florida for the 2015 class, is being pursued by numerous other Power 5 programs including several from the SEC.

After committing in September, the three-star pass rusher out of Deerfield Beach, Fla., took unofficials to UCF and Miami in November before using two official visits for North Carolina on Dec. 6 and Kentucky the following weekend. He’s expected to visit Florida when the dead period is over next week.

Strowbridge has offers from Alabama and Tennessee among many others.

At 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Strowbridge has a chance to play early on D.J. Eliot’s defense in Lexington thanks to the departures of standouts defensive linemen Bud Dupree and Za’Darius Smith. He comes from a football hotbed in South Florida, an area Mark Stoops had made a priority during his first three recruiting cycles at Kentucky.
