ESPN analyst: Boutte cheap shot most cowardly I've ever seen
LSU OL Josh Boutte’s hit on Wisconsin S D’Cota Dixon was one of the most talked-about plays of Week 1 for all the wrong reasons.
Many fans and commentators have slammed Boutte, but ESPN analyst Trevor Matich had an especially strong take:
LSU's Josh Boutte's hit to head of D'Cota Dixon after game-sealing INT was the most cowardly cheap-shot I've ever seen in CFB #LSUvsWISC

One fan was curious what kind of punishment Boutte should receive in Matich’s opinion:
@bricesdad I think season suspension. Can't have a guy like that on the field, not fair to opponents. What do you think? #LSUvsWISC

LSU coach Les Miles has said he plans to review the film before coming to a conclusion on the play.
“I grabbed him right away when it happened, I’ll have to see the film,” Miles told the Times Picayune. He’s an offensive lineman in protection. “What happens downfield many times, you can be protecting beyond the play with the idea you don’t know if the ball is even thrown.”
While Miles’ comments raised eyebrows, Matich wasn’t ready to criticize the coach:
@PapaGinNOLA Miles didn't have benefit of seeing the tape when he commented. I'm guessing he'll change his comments when he does #LSUvsWISC
