LSU’s decision to hire offensive coordinator Matt Canada has already paid off on the recruiting trail.

After immediately regaining the trust of four-star quarterback commit Myles Brennan following Canada’s hire, the Tigers have now (re)secured the commitment of Lowell Narcisse, the in-state quarterback prospect that had been committed to LSU before Ed Orgeron’s staff began looking around at other prospects.

Narcisse, who announced his decommitment from LSU just a week ago, announced Monday he would be sticking with the Tigers:

Following his decommitment, the 2017 Under Armour All-American said he would make his final commitment during the high school all-star game. Narcisse intends on enrolling early in January, to get a jump start on the 2017 season. LSU’s other quarterback commit, Myles Brennan, will not be enrolling early due to the fact his school does not allow midseason graduations.

Narcisse is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and Lousiana’s No. 10 overall prospect, according to 247Sports’ Composite ratings. The other major threats to land Narcisse following his decommitment were Auburn and Memphis.
