The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Guidry chose the Tigers over Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Missouri, Miami and Louisville among others. Coming off a visit to Alabama last weekend, Guidry was expected to be an Alabama lean, however a trip to Death Valley this weekend apparently swayed his mind.

As a high school player in Louisiana, Guidry helped lead Livonia to a state title before moving on to McNeese State. Guidry then left McNeese for his current school, Hinds Community College. It was at Hinds that Guidry first starting gaining national notice, which quickly led to South Carolina offering him a scholarship.

With senior Travin Dural and junior Malachi Dupre both potentially playing in the NFL in 2017, Guidry has an opportunity to come and make a huge impact for the Tigers in 2017. The Tigers now have nine commitments for their 2017 recruiting class, which is currently ranked at No. 10 in the nation by 247Sports.
