Assessing Missouri's current 2015 recruiting class

Missouri’s 2015 recruiting class is shaping up to be very similar to past recruiting classes under Gary Pinkel.

Littered with a lot of three-star recruits, the Tigers have been able to secure the commitments of four four-star recruits with quarterback Drew Lock being the crown jewel of this class so far.

Wide receiver is a position the Tigers will have to bolster through this class. Missouri is currently slated to lose its top three receivers and already lost one of its freshman in Lawrence Lee, who was dismissed from the team earlier in the year. Experience will be at a premium at wide receiver in 2015, so the Tigers’ numbers are important.

Currently, there are two wide receivers in this class — Emanuel Hall and Richaud Floyd. Ronnell Perkins is a two-way athlete, who can play either wide receiver or defensive back in 2015.

While this Missouri class won’t blow anyone away, the Tigers are currently fighting for one of the top prospects in high school — defensive end Terry Beckner. The five-star defensive lineman is from East St.Louis, Ill., and would be an immediate impact kind of player for the Tigers in 2015.

The addition of Beckner would certainly help bring some notoriety to this class, although we’ve seen Missouri in the past get plenty of production from several underrated classes.
