Longtime assistant coach Andy Hill has been named Missouri’s interim head coach.

Hill has been an assistant at Missouri since 1996. He was the associate head coach and quarterbacks coach under Gary Pinkel for the past three years, and the wide receivers coach from 1996-2012. He also played at Missouri in the early 1980s.

Missouri is currently looking for its next head coach. Pinkel, who has been the Tigers’ head coach since 2001, has Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is retiring.

Missouri (5-7) finished its regular season with a 28-3 loss to Arkansas on Friday afternoon. It has not been determined whether or not the Tigers will play in a bowl game.
