Missouri backup quarterback Eddie Printz plans on transferring after the spring semester, leaving the Tigers with three scholarship quarterbacks.

The news was first reported by PowerMizzou.com.

Printz was listed as second on the team’s depth chart for the final eight games of 2015, sharing that spot with Marvin Zanders. Printz only attempted one pass in his time in Columbia.

The redshirt sophomore is planning on earning his degree in May, so he’ll be eligible to play in 2016 as a graduate transfer.

The Tigers are now down to three quarterbacks at the moment. Those are Drew Lock, who will be a sophomore next season, Zanders, who will be a redshirt sophomore and Maty Mauk, who was suspended after a video was made public that appears to show Mauk snorting a line of white powder.

The school does have a commitment for the Class of 2016 from dual-threat QB Micah Wilson. The three-star prospect is rated as the No. 25 dual-threat QB in the recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
