Scouting and identifying the nation’s top quarterback prospects is an arduous task but one that the Elite 11 sets out to accomplish each and every year. Considering the success the alumni of the event have had in the past, the Elite 11 camp has proven a solid indicator of the future of the position at both the college football and NFL levels.
Monday evening, the Elite 11 announced the 24 campersย selected to participate in the June 3-5 Elite 11 finals in Los Angeles. The camp is hosted annually by former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer.
Of the 24 participants, seven of the quarterbacks are currently committed to SEC schools including:
- Alabama commit Tua Tagovailoa ofย Honolulu, Hawaii
- Georgia commitย Jake Fromm ofย Warner Robbins, Georgia
- Florida commitย Jake Allen ofย Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- LSU commitย Lowell Narcisse ofย Saint James, Louisiana
- LSU commitย Myles Brennan of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi
- Kentucky commitย Mac Jones of Jacksonville, Florida
- Texas A&M commitย Connor Blumrick ofย Pearland, Texas
Campers not currently committed to SEC schools but being actively recruited by them include:
- Auburn target Kellen Mond ofย Bradenton, Florida
- Tennessee target Jack Sears ofย San Clemente, California
Former Elite 11 finalists currently on SEC rosters include starting quarterbacks: Chad Kelly (Ole Miss), Joshua Dobbs (Tennessee), Drew Lock (Missouri), Drew Barker (Kentucky) and potentially Sean White (Auburn), Luke Del Rio (Florida), Blake Barnett (Alabama), Jacob Eason (Georgia) and Brandon McIlwain (South Carolina).
Other SEC quarterbacks from formerย Elite 11 Finals rosters include: Austin Appleby (Florida), Ricky Town (Arkansas),ย Feleipe Franks (Florida), Jarrett Guarantano (Tennessee)ย andย Shea Patterson (Ole Miss).
10 of the last 11 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks participated in either the Elite 11 Finals or Elite 11 regional camps.
