Alabama outside linebackers coach and ace recruiter Lance Thompson is leaving the Crimson Tide for Auburn University, according to 247Sports. Thompson will join Gus Malzahn’s new defensive staff under new coordinator Will Muschamp.
Thompson is the second Alabama coach to leave the university in as many days, as linebackers coach Kevin Steele is LSU’s new defensive coordinator.
Auburn University confirmed it has hired Thompson as the new linebackers coach.
