Tennessee cornerback Emmanuel Moseley caused a fumble with a big hit on Kentucky receiver Garrett Johnson in the third quarter Saturday night in Lexington.

Though Johnson took a few steps after catching a throw from Patrick Towles and tucked the ball away, officials ruled the pass was incomplete.

Instead of creating a potential turnover, Moseley was called for a targeting penalty that was upheld by replay. Moseley led with his shoulder but did make contact with his head. It appeared to be a glancing blow.
