After contemplating a transfer last season, it appears South Carolina’s Brendan Nosovitch, a redshirt junior who has seen time at tight end and quarterback, will continue his career elsewhere.

John Whittle of TheBigSpur is reporting Nosovitch a former four-star signee, will transfer to pursue playing time. He moved back to quarterback this spring, but was buried behind several players on the depth chart. At tight end, Nosovitch is behind Jerell Adams, KC Crosby and Jacob August.

Nosovitch announced an intention to transfer last August, but changed his mind after meeting with coach Steve Spurrier.

Without him, the Gamecocks are down to three quarterbacks fighting for the starting job this spring — Connor Mitch, Perry Orth and Michael Scarnecchia — with a fourth, true freshman dual threat Lorenzo Nunez, arriving later this summer.
