It was fun while it lasted for Tim Tebow.
The former Gators great vying for a third-team spot in the NFL was released Saturday by the Philadelphia Eagles, ending his comeback bid. Many thought Tebow was safe after the franchise traded Matt Barkley to the Arizona Cardinals on Friday.
