Less than two weeks away from the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft, Terry Godwin, one of the five-star gems in Georgia’s most recent signing class, will participate in a private workout with the Atlanta Braves today at Turner Field.

According to the AJC, the infield prospect will field ground balls, take batting practice, test his speed and go through a series of other tests as a potential late-round selection.

“It’s a great opportunity, and I’m looking forward to showing the Braves what I can do,” Godwin told the AJC on Wednesday night.

According to Godwin’s mother, one of the primary reasons her son signed with Georgia was so he could have the opportunity to play two sports with the Bulldogs. While chances are slim he signs a pro contract in two weeks and skips the start of his college football career in the fall, Godwin couldn’t pass on the private workout chance, his mother said.
