Four-star QB Brandon McIlwain commits to South Carolina
South Carolina received good news on the recruiting front Wednesday when 2016 four-star quarterback Brandon McIlwain (Newtown, Pa.) committed to the Gamecocks via Twitter:

McIlwain is rated the nation’s fourth-best dual-threat quarterback for next year’s class. The 6-foot, 210-pound playmaker chose the Gamecocks over offers from Auburn, Florida, Ohio State and Clemson among several others.
He is the third verbal commit for the 2016 cycle, joining four-star athlete Kyle Davis (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and linebacker JaCorey Morris (Grove Hill, Ala.).
