Mercifully, the 2014 season is over for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Lofty expectations had South Carolina competing for not only a division title, but for a conference championship as well. But a disappointing defense significantly limited the Gamecocks, who finished with just a 7-6 record on the season.

Another tough slate of games in 2015 will make it difficult for the Gamecocks to vastly improve on their record, especially with having to replace many key offensive players from a year ago.
