South Carolina’s Mike Davis became the SEC’s fifth drafted running back on Saturday when the San Francisco 49ers — Marcus Lattimore’s former team — took him 126th overall in the fourth round.

Davis skipped his senior season with the Gamecocks to enter and was labeled as a ‘high-value pick’ by most analysts heading into the draft as a late-round projection. He joins former teammate Bruce Ellington out west.

The SEC’s now had a RB taken every round in this year’s draft. Davis is South Carolina’s second selection, joining A.J. Cann who went No. 67 overall.
