It was a down year for South Carolina in 2015. The Gamecocks limped to the finish line with a 3-9 record, and they finished just 1-7 in the SEC.  The worst was a painful loss to The Citadel, an FCS doormat from just down the road.

The result was very few checks in the all-time win column against their SEC rivals.

The Gamecocks have winning records against just three SEC squads, the biggest being Vanderbilt (84 percent), which last beat South Carolina during the 2008 season. The program is a win shy of pulling even with Ole Miss and will get a shot at .500 against the Rebels when it travels to Oxford in 2018.

Will Muschamp’s new squad has failed to beat Texas A&M in both of its contests, but gets another crack at it once again in 2016 with a Week 5 matchup versus the Aggies in Columbia. The Cocks can pad their all-time lead against Mississippi State (9-6 all-time) when they meet a Dak Prescott-less Bulldogs in their other 2016 SEC West matchup.

Here’s how South Carolina stacks up all-time against the SEC entering the 2016 campaign.
