Gargantuan Spurrier banner hangs outside Williams-Brice Stadium

A week after revealing a new metal sign high atop the West stands at Williams-Brice Stadium, South Carolina raised a gigantic Steve Spurrier banner along the venue’s concrete structure Saturday, adding to the intrigue of Thursday’s opener riding an 18-game home winning streak.

Overlooking Bluff Road and Gamecock Park, the 85-foot graphic honors the program’s all-time winningest coach.
