When Kevin Sumlin proudly proclaims ‘YESSIR!’, Texas A&M grabbed another.

The Aggies added four-star Tennessee inside linebacker Tyrel Dodson to the mix for 2016 on Friday, securing a commitment at the end of his unofficial visit to College Station according to 247Sports.

Dodson confirmed his decision via Twitter later Friday evening:

The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder is Texas A&M’s ninth commitment in next year’s class, but first linebacker.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Dodson is one of Tennessee’s top players. He’s been one of defensive coordinator John Chavis’ primary out-of-state targets for several months.
