Former Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller is unhappy with how his contract talks are going with the Broncos. If things don’t change soon, he might not play in the upcoming NFL season.

Miller, who grew into a star with the Aggies from 2007 to 2010, has had a friction-filled offseason after being named the MVP of Super Bowl 50. On Thursday, he seemed to suggest in an Instagram post that he wouldn’t play this fall under the franchise tag.

It’s easy to understand Miller’s stance here. Players only have so much time to earn as much money as they can before their window closes. In his case, he’s an elite pass-rusher, and he deserves to be paid like one of the NFL’s top talents at his position.

For his sake, and for the Broncos’ prospects as well, there better be an about-face in these discussions in a hurry.
