Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd was arrested by citation this month for underage drinking, according to university police. Hurd and fellow student, Hunter Rivait, were found in a university dorm parking garage.

An unconscious male was also found in the vehicle and later transported to a hospital. The initial University of Tennessee police report does not identify the third party involved in the incident.

Hurd, 18, is scheduled to be booked and arraigned on charges of underage consumption and a misdemeanor on Jan. 20, the Tennessean reported Wednesday after reviewing a Knox County database of criminal cases.

According to the original police report, the incident involved underage drinking, confiscated items, an alcohol incident and a sick person. A secondary report noted that the case was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

The original report also noted a weapon was involved, however, university police identified it as an airsoft gun on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Tennessee’s football program refused to comment on the incident on whether Hurd faces internal discipline over the incident, according to the Tennesseean. The freshman led the Vols with 777 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 174 carries. Hurd also had 33 catches for 217 yards and two touchdowns.
