Tennessee or LSU may have two upcoming commitments, according to one coveted target. 2015 cornerback Ugo Amadi, who announced his commitment date Saturday, hinted that he and fellow Nashville standout, Kyle Phillips, will join the same team next fall.

Amadi also tweeted that he will decide between Tennessee and LSU on Dec. 30. The three-star prospect ranks as the No. 30 cornerback for the 2015 recruiting class and No. 11 player from Tennessee, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

One hour after his tweet about Phillips, Amadi mentioned having a conversation with current Tennessee commit, Jack Jones, who is also a top prospect in Middle Tennessee.

Phillips ranks as a four-star and is the No. 110 overall player and No. 8 strong-side defensive end of the 2015 class. The Hillsboro senior would join a Vols defensive line that already includes All-SEC freshman Derek Barnett and will add two of the nation’s top incoming defensive tackles in Kahlil McKenzie and Shy Tuttle.

“He just said how if they get me, they’ll have pretty much one of the best d-lines in the country next year,” Phillips told VolQuest.com of his talks with Barnett, who played host to Phillips on his recruiting visit and is also from the Nashville area. “He was saying how coaches don’t care to play freshmen early and if I’m good enough, I’ll get the chance to play right away.”

But Phillips also mentioned how impressed he was with LSU, who he called a slight leader.

“LSU is always a good program. I love Coach (Brick) Haley, the d-line coach, and he’s proven to be a really good,” Phillips said. “Coach (John) Chavis is one of the best defensive coordinators in the country. Coach (Les) Miles is a great coach. I just enjoy everything about LSU. They might be my leading school a little bit. They’ve been recruiting me really hard, and my mom, she really loves them a lot. I’m enjoy everything about LSU pretty much.”
