Defensive line was one of the Razorbacks’ primary strengths this season and despite the loss of Trey Flowers and possibly Darius Philon to the NFL, Arkansas should still terrorize opposing backfields in the 2015.

Four-star commit Hjalte Froholdt out of Bradenton, Fla. is one of this recruiting cycle’s top players, a 6-foot-5, nearly 300-pound defensive tackle with a knack for blowing up plays through gap dominance and 1-on-1 explosion.

Courted by Alabama and Michigan among others, Froholdt committed to Arkansas December 2013 and has remained strong since. Coach Bret Bielema and assistant Rob Smith flew to the Sunshine State to visit Froholdt during SEC Championship Game week to ensure he wouldn’t flip.

Froholdt is a vital piece of next year’s puzzle defensively on a team many believe is on the rise heading into Bielema’s third season. Keeping him away from Tuscaloosa and in-state elite Florida State puts a feather in the Razorbacks’ cap.

Depending on how quickly he adjusts to the college game, Froholdt has the chance to be an impact player.
