Pick your poison with Kevin Sumlin’s expected 2015 class at Texas A&M, a wide variety of sought-after prospects coveted by programs like Texas, LSU and Texas Tech.

In need of immediate help defensively since multi-year starting senior cornerback DeShazor Everett’s moving on to the NFL, there’s several four-star commits in the secondary who could step in — like Armani Watts did this season — and earn a spot at the back end.

Ballhawk Roney Elam appears to the most game-ready coming out of Newton High in Newton, Texas. Alabama, LSU, Arkansas and several others offered Elam based on instincts and length (6-foot-3) alone.

Elam started on both sides of the ball this season at quarterback and defensive back and threw a 43-yard touchdown pass in last week’s 3A Division II state championship game loss to Waskom at AT&T Stadium. He also recorded 6.5 tackles in the contest.

Texas A&M picked off an SEC-low five passes this season, leading to defensive coordinator Mark Snyder’s exit.

In recent days, Arkansas and Texas have remained in hot pursuit of Elam’s services.

“I’m solid to A&M right now … I think I’m going to go there,” Elam told 247Sports after the state title game.
