The Gators picked up a massive commitment Wednesday as 6-foot-1, 345-pound Jordon Scott gave his verbal commit to Florida over Florida State.

Ryan Bartow of 247Sports broke the news and head coach Jim McElwain sent out this tweet to celebrate the news shortly after the announcement:

Scott is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 60 defensive tackle recruit in the nation by 247Sports. Scott has accumulated over 25 scholarship offers including offers from Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville and West Virginia among others.

The massive lineman racked up 88 tackles, 29 tackles-for-loss, 10 sacks and was named First Team All-State as a junior at Florida’s 7A division.

If you check out his highlight reel you’ll see Scott has a tendency to treat high school offensive lineman like rag dolls. Considering his massive size, Scott is excellent at getting low leverage and powering his way into the offense’s backfield. He also possess great tackling and pursuit abilities for a prospect of his giant size.

While only rated as a three-star at this point, the Gators could have found a huge gem in Scott:
