The accolades keep rolling in for Alabama’s Jonathan Allen.
The senior defensive end Tuesday was honored as the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week and FWAA/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week after his huge performance against Texas A&M last Saturday.

Allen racked up six tackles, a career-high four quarterback hurries, one sack and a defensive touchdown in the No. 1 Crimson Tide’s 33-14 win against the No. 9 Aggies. His ferocious pass-rushing abilities helped Alabama hold the SEC’s most high-powered offense to 278 yards and 14 points.
He had two highlight reel plays, with a diving tackle of Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight a 30-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Some think the senior could be in line for another award — the Heisman Trophy.
