2019 in-state athlete commits to Volunteers
The Volunteers were the first team to offer TJ Sheffield in October, and on Monday the picked up his pledge for 2019.
The Independence High School (Thompson’s Station, Tenn.) athlete announced his commitment on Twitter:

Sheffield is listed at 5-foot-10, 157 pounds with a 40-yard dash time of 4.59 seconds and a vertical leap of 35 inches. Independence teammate Kendrell Scurry, a four-star wide receiver, committed to UT on July 26.
