Report: Former South Carolina TE Jared Cook signs with the Oakland Raiders

Though former South Carolina TE Jared Cook only had 30 catches for 377 yards and one touchdown during the regular season for the Green Bay Packers in 2016, he made a name for himself in the playoffs.
In three postseason games with the Packers, Cook had 18 catches for 229 yards and two touchdowns, becoming one of QB Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets in the process.
However, after just one year in the frozen tundra, Cook will join a new squad this fall, according to NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport, who tweeted on Thursday that Cook would sign with the Oakland Raiders:

Cook will undoubtedly be a big piece of Oakland’s offense as long as he can stay healthy. The Raiders went 12-4 in the regular season before losing a wildcard playoff matchup to the Houston Texans.
With the former Gamecock in the mix, the Raider offense will be even more dangerous in 2017, so AFC West defenses will have even more to prepare for when they see Oakland on their schedule.
