Under the leadership of new director of strength and conditioning Rock Gullickson, the Tennessee program looks to reinvent itself in the weight room this offseason. After spending 17 seasons as a strength coach in the NFL, 39 seasons in total dating back to his college coaching days, if there’s anyone that can correct the Volunteers conditioning issues it’s Gullickson.

Following the glowing reviews the team expressed following winter conditioning under Gullickson, the program is now grinding away this summer to get into peak physical shape for the fall season. Moving forward, if the team can avoid the injury bug that severely plagued it all of last season, Gullickson’s addition could prove to be Butch Jones’ most valuable hire in an offseason full of change on Rocky Top.
