The Carolina Panthers backfield is sure to feature top returning RB Jonathan Stewart and first-round draft pick Christian McCaffrey, but former Auburn RB Cameron Artis-Payne is pushing for his share of touches.
On Saturday, Artis-Payne had five carries for 70 yards, including a long run of 43 yards and a 1-yard touchdown run in preseason action against the Tennessee Titans. Panthers coach Ron Rivera told media members after the game that Artis-Payne, who is having a “tremendous camp,” needs to get his touches, even if that’s hard in a crowded backfield.

RR on Cameron Artis-Payne: He’s going to make it tough on us because we’ve got to find ways to get him the ball.
