Twitter reacts to the preseason AP Poll
The AP Poll was released on Monday afternoon and, to the surprise of no one, the Alabama Crimson Tide were named the No. 1 team in the country.
Nick Saban’s squad was one of six SEC teams in the preseason top 25, along with Auburn (No. 12), LSU (No. 13), Georgia (No. 15), Florida (No. 17) and Tennessee (No. 25).
Twitter was abuzz with reaction to the first AP Poll of the 2017 season, and here were some of the top tweets in the immediate aftermath of the poll’s release:
A streak continues:
Alabama continues its record streak of being ranked No. 1 in the AP poll to 10 years in a row … next-longest is Miami at 7 (1986-92).

I think the AP Top 25 Poll is fair. I think FSU and USC will both be really good. Ohio State though! Come on man. They got crushed…

Oh wow. The Gators are ranked #17 in the Top 25 AP Poll. I definitely think they're in the top 15.

An important question:
When is the last time #1 and #3 in the AP poll met in the opening game of the college football season? @ESPNStatsInfo @EliasSports

Don’t forget about the solar eclipse:
Do not look directly at the AP poll without your special glasses.
