The Tennessee Volunteers are at a very low point right now, sitting at 0-4 in SEC play and in real danger of missing a bowl game if things continue down this path.

Following a 45-7 loss to No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, the Vols’ offense has now gone 14-straight quarters without a touchdown, as the defense provided all seven points against the Crimson Tide.

However, redshirt freshman QB Jarrett Guarantano hasn’t given up on the season just yet, promising a “magical 35 days” to end the Vols’ 2017 campaign:

Tennessee travels to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats next weekend, so we’ll learn a lot about coach Butch Jones’s squad in that game (if Jones is still around to coach that game).

The Vols are now 3-4, but have games against Kentucky, Southern Miss, Mizzou, LSU and Vanderbilt left on the schedule, so bowl eligibility isn’t out of the question just yet.

Still, it’ll take a big effort to turn things around, but Guarantano is confident his team has what it takes to do exactly that.
