The Georgia Bulldogs received some more good news on Wednesday as it was reported that forgery charges against Latavious Brini have been dropped.

Brini, a freshman DB for the Bulldogs who is redshirting this season, was facing first-degree forgery charges after being accused of using a counterfeit $100 to make an $8 purchase in July. As of Wednesday morning, those charges have been dropped.

The main focus Wednesday has been the start of the early signing period, but this is definitely good news for the Bulldogs.

Jake Rowe with 247 Sports shared comments from Mark Wiggins, Brini’s attorney, who says it was a case of mistaken identity:

Wiggins claims that the case was one of mistaken identity. There was no video footage of the incident.

Brini tweeted out following the dismissal:

Brini was a 3-star recruit in the 2017 class for Georgia who will try to make an impact next season.
