Jeremy Pruitt describes relationship with Nick Saban ahead of matchup with Alabama

This offseason, former Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt left the Crimson Tide to take the head coaching job at Tennessee.
This weekend, the Nick Saban protege will meet his former boss on the field for the first time, as the Vols play host to the No. 1 Crimson Tide.
Ahead of that matchup, Pruitt was asked if he still talks with Saban and if he still asks his former boss for advice. Pruitt said he didn’t think it would be fair to use Saban as a resource since they are both SEC head coaches:
Pruitt on his relationship with Saban: "I don't think it's fair to him for me to call and ask him questions. Not that he wouldn't answer them. But we're competing against each other. I don't think I should put him in that position."

That sounds like an answer Saban would respect, and it’s clear Pruitt wants to be his own coach.
