As far as Kentucky’s offensive line is concerned, the bye week came at just the right time.

Both redshirt sophomore center Drake Jackson and redshirt freshman left tackle Naasir Watkins will play against Vanderbilt on Saturday, coach Mark Stoops told reporters Thursday. Jackson’s presence will allow standout right guard Bunchy Stallings to continue manning his spot, and Watkins will provide depth on the outside.

Jackson missed practice during the bye week, and Stoops said earlier this week that he likely wouldn’t have been able to play had Kentucky had a game last Saturday. But it appears both he and Watkins will be ready to go when the No. 14 Wildcats (5-1, 3-1 SEC) host Vanderbilt (3-4, 0-3) at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
