UAB’s “underdog” story endeared many college football fans to the Blazers over the past few years.
After having the program completely shutdown for the 2015 and ’16 seasons, UAB’s comeback season in 2017 was one of college football’s true “feel-good” stories. Despite the odds being stacked against them, the Blazers managed bowl eligibility last season going 8-5.
We’re only through Week 8 of the 2018 season, but the Blazers have already secured another postseason bid. The team had an awesome “bowling” locker room celebration, which was shared on Twitter.
