Former Georgia RB Sony Michel got off to a slow start with the New England Patriots, but the last few weeks, the first-round pick has been coming into his own.
However, on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, Michel suffered what looked like a devastating knee injury and was carted off the field.
On Monday morning, though, the Pats did get some good news, as it was reported that Michel’s injury was not as serious as it originally seemed:
Sources: #Patriots RB Sony Michel’s knee injury is not considered serious following his MRI. His timetable isn’t clear, but this is pretty good news for their impressive rookie runner. He still could miss time, but if he does, it may not be much.

His status for next week is still in question, but the Pats must be breathing a sigh of relief upon hearing that news.
Michel has run for 442 yards and four touchdowns. The Pats may sit him against Buffalo this weekend as a precaution, but it seems he should be back soon.
