Greedy Williams is only a redshirt sophomore, but he’s been a huge part of the LSU secondary this season.

While starting all 12 regular-season games for the Tigers, Williams has amassed 33 tackles and two interceptions this year. He had six picks last year, but this season, quarterbacks haven’t been throwing his way very often.

Williams announced on Sunday that he was leaving for the NFL, and now it appears that means he won’t be playing in the Fiesta Bowl against UCF either:

That’s bad news for the Tigers ahead of a matchup against an explosive offense like UCF’s, and they’ll certainly miss Williams.

Now, we’ll have to see if LB Devin White ends up playing or not. If he doesn’t, the Tiger defense will be really weakened.
