The Temple Owls have had some great success over the past few years under coaches Matt Rhule (now at Baylor) and Geoff Collins (now at Georgia Tech).

Now, they’ve reportedly settled on their next head coach, who will be tasked with keeping the Owls on the right track.

Per FootballScoop.com and other sources, Miami DC Manny Diaz will be heading to Philadelphia to take over the Temple program:

Collins went 15-10 in his two seasons at the helm of the Owls, and if Diaz has similar success, it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up next.

Diaz has been the Hurricanes’ defensive coordinator since 2016. Prior to that, he was Mississippi State’s defensive coordinator in 2015 (and served in the same role in 2010 as well).
