Talented Alabama high school prospect DJ James decommits from Mississippi State

Mississippi State lost a commitment late Sunday night.

Fresh off an official visit to Oregon, 3-star CB DJ James (Spanish Fort, Alabama) announced his decommitment from the Bulldogs. He had been committed to MSU since last February, but things have changed.

The 6-foot, 170-pound prospect also has an official visit scheduled for Ole Miss on January 25. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 60 overall CB and the state of Alabama’s No. 23 overall prospect for the class of 2019, per 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Following James’ decommitment, the Bulldogs now have 20 early signees and commitments.
