Ohio Stadium went through an insane amount of nacho cheese in 2018

In seven home games this year, the Ohio State Buckeyes brought in over 700,000 fans.

In those seven games, those fans sure did eat more than their fair share of nacho cheese — so much, in fact, that if you got it all together, it would weigh more than an adult elephant.

Per Eleven Warriors, Buckeye fans ate eight tons of nacho cheese, which is simply an incredible act of gluttony:

I mean, that’s more than one ton of nacho cheese per game. If you divide eight tons (16,000 pounds) by the grand total of 713,629 fans, you get every fan eating .02 pounds of cheese. Considering many fans probably attended multiple games, the weight in cheese adds up.

Heading into 2019, Ohio State fans should take it as a personal challenge to go for 10 tons of nacho cheese. See more concession totals in the Eleven Warriors article here.
