The Florida Gators are set to kick off the 2019 season against in-state rival Miami, with the game to be played in Orlando.
However, the game may end up being moved a week earlier, per reports that surfaced on Wednesday night.
Per reporter Tim Reynolds, the game might be moved a week earlier, to Saturday, Aug. 24, but nothing is final as of now:
Also, can confirm per AP Source: Miami and Florida may have their season-opener moved up to Aug. 24. No decision made yet. NCAA will be the ultimate decider for a lot of reasons.

Why the change, potentially? By moving it up a week, it would avoid being in competition with other big-time matchups on Saturday, Aug. 31.
A Week 0 game for big-name teams like Miami and Florida would be unprecedented, so we’ll see if that’s the direction the NCAA decides to go.
