LOOK: Miami Marlins throw name in long list of athletic programs that ‘want Bama’, Alabama responds

It’s become one of the biggest chants in college football in recent years. “We want Bama” has been the rallying cry for most of college football as the Tide have a full-fledged dynasty in Tuscaloosa under Nick Saban.

Interestingly, the chant has now shown itself in the MLB by the Miami Marlins. The Marlins (16-31) currently have the second worst record in baseball behind only the Baltimore Orioles (15-35), and they are in dead last in the National League East.

However, the Marlins have won six straight games, and following the sixth, the Marlins sent out a tweet with highlights with the phrase:

Alabama did take the time to respond, saying it would love for minority owner and CEO Derek Jeter to come speak to the team in August.
